This course will discuss the terminology required to understand BIM in a global context, with specific reference to the terms used in the UK and U.S. Terminology is an important part of a successful BIM project as all participants must understand the basic terms and use of these terms to work effectively and intelligently.
Course Outline:
Describe the main terminology used when working on a BIM Project
Summarize how BIM terms should be known and used during strategy, project planning and operational phases of assets
Examine how LOD should be used and the main references and strategy toward doing so
Summarize the way in which terms and references can aid in the planning and management of a BIM project
